I’m going to show you how to make very simple paper cup shakers in just a few minutes.
Because these paper cup shakers are so easy to make, they are an ideal craft for toddlers and preschoolers (they will require just a little help from an adult).
To Make A Paper Cup Shaker, You Will Need:
- 2 paper cups
- Sticky tape
- Dried beans, lentils, rice or something similar to put inside the shaker
- Decorative items such as felt pens, pom poms, feathers, ribbon (optional)
- Strips of double sided tape to stick your decorations on if you are having any
Here is the method to create this musical instrument:
Step 1
Put some dried beans, lentils, rice or something similar inside one cup. You only need a small amount in the cup.
Step 2
Place the second cup on top of the first and tape them together in the middle where they join.
Step 3
Use felt pens to decorate the cups. If you want to stick other items on such as feathers, beads and pom poms then you can do so now using the double sided tape.
Step 4
Your paper cup shaker is complete and ready to make some music with. Now you can create music with your little one.
