Here, I’m going to show you how to make your own shaker with just an empty bottle and a few other items.
To Make Your Own Shaker, You will need:
- A plastic bottle of any kind
- Dried rice, beans, lentils or something similar
- Ribbon or other decorative items such as beads and buttons (optional)
- Mod Podge glue to stick any decorative items on
Here is the method for creating your own bottle shaker:
Step 1
Clean out your empty bottle and make sure it’s dry inside.
Step 2
Open the bottle up. Add the dried rice, beans or whatever you choose but keep in mind that you don’t need much. Below is an image showing how much rice we put in our bottle.
Step 3
Close the bottle up. You can tape the lid to make sure it can’t be easily opened if you want to.
Step 4
Decorate the bottle shaker with your choice of ribbon or whatever you choose. If you are using Mod Podge glue to stick things on, then you will have to leave the glue to dry for the time specified on the container before playing your instrument.
Step 5
Once the glue has dried, now you can shake the bottle shaker to make some music.
